Veekee James Defends Her Marriage Approach
Celebrity fashion designer Veekee James has responded to online criticism about always appearing alongside her husband, Femi Atere, at public events.
She explained that she and her husband view themselves as one entity in marriage, having consciously chosen to share every aspect of their lives.
Veekee noted that critics misunderstand the meaning of marriage, insisting that true partnership involves unity rather than separate lifestyles.
She stated that she has no intention of altering their relationship based on internet comments.
Quoting her Snapchat post, she wrote: “Yes, my husband does not have a life of his own. His life is my life, the same way I don’t have a life of my own. My life is his life. He is me and I am him. Together we are like padlock and key.”
She continued: “When you marry your own, separate him. When you marry your own, remove him from your life and keep him somewhere else. You don’t know what marriage is. His life is mine, my life is his. Everything he is, is mine.”
Veekee concluded by saying audiences will continue to see her and her husband together wherever they go.
