NDC Leadership Holds Strategic North-West Meeting, Declares Victory Achievable for 2027 Elections
National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Seriake Dickson, described a recent meeting with state chairmen from the North-West geopolitical zone as fruitful and strategic, aimed at strengthening the party’s preparations for the 2027 general election.
Dickson said the discussions centred on campaign strategies and efforts to secure victory for NDC candidates across the region.
He shared his thoughts on his verified X account, highlighting the North-West’s importance in Nigeria’s political landscape and commending the zone’s leaders for their dedication to the party.
“It was a pleasure to host a strategic meeting of the national leadership of our party with the State chairmen of the North-West Zone, a very critical region in the politics of our country,” he wrote.
Dickson also praised the party’s vice‑presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, for coordinating the leaders in the zone.
“I commend the leaders of the zone led by our Vice Presidential candidate, His Excellency Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, for their commitment and readiness to work for the success of our party,” he added.
The NDC leader noted that the talks reinforced the party’s confidence ahead of the elections, stating, “The discussions were fruitful, and we remain confident that victory is achievable.”
He urged party members, supporters and stakeholders nationwide to unite, intensify mobilisation efforts and ensure every candidate flying the NDC flag receives the necessary support.
The NDC is fielding former Anambra State governor Peter Obi as its presidential candidate, with former Kano State governor Rabiu Kwankwaso as his running mate.
