Peter Obi Says He Would Question God for Drawing Him into Politics
The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has revealed what he would ask God if given the chance.
He said he is a politician today, but if he ever had the opportunity to question God, he would ask why the Almighty allowed him to leave his comfort zone and enter politics.
Obi added that wherever we find ourselves is where God wants us to be, and we must do everything we can for the benefit of the masses.
He stressed that his current position is by the grace of God and that he must not abuse that grace, whether in a private, corporate, or government setting.
Minister Umahi Urges Southeasterners to Reject Obi’s Candidacy
Meanwhile, Minister of Works Senator David Umahi called on people of the Southeast and all Nigerians not to vote for Peter Obi.
Umahi said he enjoys the insults that follow his criticism of Obi, noting that such reactions show his work is touching people.
He expressed his support for President Bola Tinubu’s re‑election, citing the infrastructural projects Tinubu has initiated, especially in the Southeast.
Umahi is optimistic that all projects awarded by Tinubu will be completed during a second term and warned that voting for another candidate would risk returning to the cycle of abandoned projects.
He highlighted the Enugu‑Onitsha expressway as a success story, set for completion by December with solar lighting, tree planting, reinforced concrete pavement, and a tolling system for maintenance and security.
The minister commended the contractor and the acting controller for their commitment and urged them to share the project’s story with community leaders.
