Seun Kuti Clarifies Departure from Peller’s Traditional Wedding
Nigerian singer Seun Kuti has responded to viral claims that he angrily walked out of the traditional wedding of TikTok stars Jarvis and Peller. He explained that he left the ceremony to visit the Shrine, and that bloggers misinterpreted his exit as an angry outburst.
Speaking alongside Fuji artist Malaika in a widely shared video, Seun said, “I left the wedding to go to the Shrine, and these bloggers twisted things, saying I was angry. Maybe I should have danced out of the ceremony.” He also questioned whether he should have celebrated his departure with dance.
Comedian MC Edo Pikin criticized the controversy, stating that none of the MCs compared Fela Kuti with Wizkid, and urged Seun to verify facts before reacting.
