Henry Okoye’s Accusations Against Jude Okoye
Henry Okoye, the elder brother of P‑Square singers Peter and Paul Okoye, has pointed directly at their sibling and former manager Jude Okoye as the person responsible for the prolonged crisis within the Okoye family.
Speaking in an interview with Nollyserve that was shared on YouTube, Henry said Jude’s actions after taking over the management of P‑Square led to the breakdown of relationships among family members.
Family Support Before Jude’s Involvement
Henry disputed the notion that Jude alone built P‑Square’s music career. He explained that before Jude became involved, the family had already sponsored Peter and Paul’s early efforts.
“When they started this music, they were looking for sponsors. They didn’t get a sponsor. When I started sponsoring them, Jude was not there,” Henry recalled. “We would travel from state to state for music. They used my car for flyers. I acted as a bodyguard. We were supporting them as a family, but we knew it was Peter and Paul that owned it.”
According to Henry, Jude only stepped in after the twins had begun recording progress in their music career.
He also claimed that their late mother had initially opposed Jude’s appointment as manager because she doubted his character.
Alleged 20% Share Promise and Jude’s Response
Henry said he was promised a 20 percent share of P‑Square’s performance earnings in recognition of his early contributions, but he never received the money.
“Before they started all these things going on, they promised me 20% in each show, but nobody has given me,” he stated.
When he raised the issue, Jude reportedly questioned the basis of the claim, asking, “What do I mean by 20%? For what?” and suggesting that if the twins were involved in a plane crash, Henry would be enjoying himself.
Estrangement, Hospital Incident, and Changing Dynamics
Henry alleged that Jude subsequently sidelined other family members, including Tony Okoye, whom he described as the twins’ immediate elder brother and a former dancer for the group.
He said he has not spoken to Jude for between one and two years.
“Almost a year to two years, I’m not talking to Jude. He doesn’t talk to me,” Henry added.
During a two‑month hospital stay, Henry noted that Peter and Paul regularly checked on him, while Jude never called to inquire about his condition.
He also mentioned that their youngest sister is struggling in Lagos, and that Peter has been trying to assist other relatives.
Expressing surprise at Paul’s current stance, Henry said, “In our family, Paul was the nicest person before, but the way he changed, I’m surprised. I don’t know how to put it.” He suggested Jude may have influenced Paul, though he offered no evidence.
Prospects of a Reunion
Henry said he would welcome a reunion of Peter and Paul but doubts it will happen as long as Jude remains the gatekeeper.
“I’ll be happy for them to come back together, but the problem I’m having is that I don’t think they’ll come back because Jude has made all of us become enemies. If you want to talk to Peter and Paul, they’ll tell you to go and meet Jude. If Jude says no, that is it,” he concluded.
His comments come amid renewed controversy after Peter released a multi‑part video series accusing Jude of financial impropriety and threats, while also challenging the claim that Jude alone was responsible for P‑Square’s rise.
