Obidients Movement Dismisses Ganduje’s Claims on Peter Obi’s 2027 Prospects
The Obidients Movement has rejected former APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje’s assertion that Peter Obi, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, lacks the capacity to win the 2027 election.
Ganduje argued that neither Obi nor former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso possess the leadership credentials or political legacy needed for victory in 2027.
Responding in an interview with Punch, Obidients Worldwide National Coordinator Yunusa Tanko questioned Ganduje’s credibility to evaluate the records of Obi and Kwankwaso.
“I don’t know why people still take Ganduje seriously. He has no credibility to challenge somebody who left ₦75 billion in the coffers of Anambra State,” Tanko said.
“Despite having the opportunity to loot that money, he did not. Can you compare him with someone accused of stashing dollars in his pocket, proven by video? Where lies his credibility?”
“He cannot compare himself with the governor who built the octopus bridge in Kano, linking the old and new cities, especially for those entering Kano. That was a major part of Dr Rabiu Kwankwaso’s legacy in Kano State.”
“In education, it is unbelievable that Kwankwaso sponsored students abroad, paying full school fees without leaving debts, producing pilots, nurses and engineers for the state.”
“What credentials does Ganduje have to challenge what these leaders have already left behind? He has nothing to offer. His statement and attempt to discredit the duo are dead on arrival.”
“The last time I visited my state, Kano, I saw crowds of people supporting us. These are ordinary clergymen who have believed in Peter Obi for four years. It’s a practical life example.”
The Obidients Movement insists that Ganduje’s remarks lack substance and fail to undermine the track records of Obi and Kwankwaso.
