Nigerian professional wrestler Oba Femi recorded one of the biggest victories of his career by defeating former UFC and WWE champion Brock Lesnar in a Hell in a Cell match at WWE SummerSlam, held at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
The bout marked Femi’s first appearance inside the Hell in a Cell structure. Lesnar dominated early with repeated German suplexes, steel‑step strikes and a Tombstone delivered onto the exposed wooden boards beneath the ring.
Despite the punishment, Femi stayed in the fight, answering with two powerful chokeslams as the two exchanged heavy blows.
The decisive moment came when Lesnar reached for a steel chair. Femi slapped the weapon away with a right hook and followed up with his signature Fall From Grace to secure the pin.
After the match, Lesnar embraced Femi and called him the future of WWE, stating that he himself represented the past while Femi embodied the company’s next generation.
Femi admitted he did not anticipate the public show of respect, saying the hug and endorsement came as a surprise, but added that mutual respect has always existed between them.
The SummerSlam triumph extended Femi’s dominant 2026 run, which already included a WrestleMania 42 victory over Lesnar and a King of the Ring tournament win in June.
Their latest clash concluded a heated rivalry that flared after Lesnar’s return from hiatus, during which he attacked Femi, later defeated him in a rematch at Clash in Italy, and finally fell to the Nigerian at SummerSlam.
