A woman voiced her disappointment after discovering that intense flooding had inundated the vicinity of her home following a heavy rainstorm.
She explained that the water rose to knee height in sections of the compound, compelling inhabitants to walk through the water.
She pointed out that her flat remained dry because her compound is situated slightly elevated compared to nearby buildings.
She also criticized the situation, wondering how anyone could spend millions of naira to reside in a locality that repeatedly experiences flooding.

She added, “How can somebody pay N10m to stay in a flooded area. If my compound weren’t a bit higher, all this water would have entered my house. Everyone on the street saw water invade their homes.”
