Governor Oborevwori Calls for Unified APC Support in 2027 Elections
Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has appealed to residents of Isoko Nation to vote for all All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the forthcoming 2027 general elections. He made the appeal while inspecting several projects in Isoko North Local Government Area.
Visible Investments Across the State
The governor pointed out that his administration has undertaken noticeable works in roads, healthcare, education and other essential sectors throughout Isoko land and the broader Delta State. He stressed that these efforts are evident in all 25 local government areas and the three senatorial districts.
Project Inspections in Isoko North
Oborevwori visited the College of Health Technology in Ovrode and the Ozoro Modern Market, both of which are nearing completion. He explained that inspecting projects before commissioning is a standard practice to ensure quality and readiness.
Regarding the College of Health Technology, he noted that an access road was also built to facilitate movement to the institution. The road has been finished and will be commissioned together with the college.
At the Ozoro Modern Market, the governor expressed satisfaction with the work done, stating the facility is complete and ready for inauguration. He added that his government’s focus extends beyond roads to include education, healthcare and other critical areas.
Contractor’s Perspective on Ozoro Modern Market
The contractor handling the market, Chief Iduh Amadhe, confirmed that the complex—featuring 192 open shops, 28 lock‑up shops, eight warehouses, 16 modern toilets, water facilities, four fire points, meeting halls, administrative offices and two security posts—has been finished since last year and awaits official commissioning.
Amadhe, however, raised concerns about repeated vandalism, noting that approximately ₦3.2 million has been spent on repairs after three separate attacks. He urged for improved security around the market to safeguard the investment and ensure traders can use the facility effectively after it opens.
Development Under the M.O.R.E. Agenda
The governor also highlighted ongoing projects at Southern Delta University, reinforcing that development is progressing statewide under his administration’s M.O.R.E. Agenda.
