Governor Adeleke Warns Against APC Return, Urges Osun Voters to Embrace Progress
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has appealed to residents to remain steadfast ahead of the August 15 gubernatorial election, urging every eligible voter to back his administration’s bid for a second term.
He criticised past administrations led by the All Progressives Congress (APC), accusing them of imposing unfavourable policies that impoverished workers and residents across the state.
The governor said those who once weaponised poverty by paying workers half salaries, leaving civil servants unable to feed their families, and denying people basic necessities are now eager to return and inflict more suffering.
Adeleke warned that a return to those dark days would bring back hardship and difficult times in Osun’s history.
“We must never go back to those dark days,” he added.
He called on eligible voters to participate in the August 15 poll and vote in support of his government.
“On August 15, I urge every eligible voter to send a clear and resounding message that Osun has chosen the path of progress, compassion and good governance,” the governor said.
“Together, we will protect the people’s mandate and keep Osun moving forward,” Adeleke stated.
