Balami Says Peter Obi Never Reached Out After His Resignation
Former deputy campaign manager of the Obi/Datti presidential ticket, Isaac Balami, told Arise News that Peter Obi has not contacted him since he resigned from the Labour Party.
Balami explained that he left the movement out of anger and was not dismissed, adding that he also made no effort to reach out to Obi.
Balami Advises Youth to Judge Tinubu’s Government by Its Reforms
Speaking to young Nigerians who backed the Obidient movement in 2023, Balami urged them to evaluate President Bola Tinubu’s administration based on its policies and achievements rather than personal loyalties.
He pointed to local government autonomy, the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), youth appointments and broader sector reforms as evidence of progress.
Balami said he is confident that these initiatives will create opportunities for young Nigerians and leave the country in a stronger position by 2031, noting his own political journey — from the APC to support Obi and Datti, then back to the APC — as proof of the ongoing transformation.
