Nigerian afrobeats superstar Davido has expressed his desire to live like an ordinary person.
He said he sometimes prefers to step out looking simple, wearing slippers and shorts without even a watch.
Speaking about his upbringing, Davido noted that having experienced private jets and luxury from childhood makes such things no longer exciting.
He quoted himself: “I’ve been on jets, I’ve been flying… I just put on some slippers, some shorts… I’m still cute.”
Although his managers advise him to embrace a celebrity persona for special moments, Davido prefers to stay grounded.
He added that even though he owns luxury cars in Atlanta, he sometimes chooses to drive a Toyota because he just wants to eat and live normally.
