APC Forms National Campaign Council for 2026 Osun Governorship Race
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has revealed the members of its National Campaign Council and various sub‑committees tasked with steering the party’s bid for the Osun State governorship election slated for Saturday, 15 August 2026.
The announcement was made in a statement issued on Sunday by APC National Secretary Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru.
Leadership of the Council
The council is co‑chaired by Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas. Ibrahim Kabir Masari, Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Tinubu on Political and Other Matters, serves as deputy chairman, while Deputy Senate President Barau I. Jibrin acts as secretary.
The statement described the body as comprising eminent party leaders, governors, members of the National Working Committee, principal officers of the National Assembly, ministers, federal and state legislators, and other key stakeholders from across the nation, all tasked with driving the APC’s campaign toward victory.

Inauguration Details
The formal inauguration of the National Campaign Council and its sub‑committees is scheduled for Tuesday, 28 July 2026, at the Transcorp Hilton Event Centre in Abuja, starting at 12:00 noon.
