Yul Edochie Opens Up About Marrying May at 22 and the Importance of Setting Boundaries
Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has spoken candidly about his marriage to his estranged wife, May, revealing that he was only 22 years old when they tied the knot.
In a clip from an interview that has been circulating online, Yul recalled how they first met while both were sitting for the GCE examination at the same centre.
He said, “I was 22 when I got married to May. As I was getting into school, we were already close. We met while we were writing the GCE; we were in the same centre.”
The actor went on to advise men not to be foolish in love, but to learn how to set clear boundaries.
“You must not be a mumu for a woman. You must set boundaries. Mumu, like anything she does, you must take it, I love you. No, you must set boundaries,” Yul emphasised.
Yul’s marriage to May eventually ended after he married fellow actress Judy Austin.
