A Nigerian woman sparked online debate after confronting women alleged to be bearing children for her husband outside their marriage.
In a viral video on X (formerly Twitter), she asserted that no number of children from side chicks would cause her to leave her husband or forfeit her status as the legal wife.
“If you believe having a child with my husband will make me leave him, you’re mistaken. The child will have to join the line. Three women have already had kids for him outside, yet I remain in the house.”
She added that although the women might receive support and lodging from her husband, they would never be allowed into her marital home.
“Once they give birth for him, we’ll arrange a place for them to stay outside, but they will never enter this home. They cannot take him. They will continue to be his baby factory, bearing children and leaving, but they will never step inside. In the end, they are only deceiving themselves.”
Her remarks ignited heated discussion online, with many users commenting on marriage, infidelity, and the role of side chicks.
“At this point, everyone just endures various things for marriage.”
