Sam Larry Walks Free After Surviving Horrific Accident
Lagos‑based socialite and show promoter Sam Larry has been discharged from hospital after surviving a serious car crash. The vehicle he was travelling in collided with a trailer, leaving the car heavily damaged. A video of the wreckage quickly went viral on social media.
Online rumors swirled about his condition, with claims that he was in a coma, might lose the use of his legs, or even face amputation.
However, Sam Larry appeared in a video call on Friday evening, celebrating with Fuji artist Malaika while she performed at an event. Shortly afterward, another clip showed him lifting his legs while hanging out with friends, effectively dispelling the amputation gossip.
In a separate development, social media personality Abiodun Ademola, widely known as DJ Chicken, was arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on charges related to an alleged threat against President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu.
The 37‑year‑old, who lives at Tafodi Estate, Royal Park, Lekki, faced three counts: threat to life, publishing offensive material online, and conduct likely to breach the peace. He pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Prosecutors said the alleged offence occurred around 9 a.m. on July 5 in Lekki, when Ademola uploaded a video to his Facebook and Instagram accounts (@djchicken) in which he threatened to kill Seyi Tinubu, allegedly intending to frighten the President’s son.
The prosecution further claimed that Ademola deliberately circulated the video to ensure the message reached Seyi and that he threatened to carry out the harm should President Tinubu run for or win the 2027 presidential election.
