Salihu Lukman Sets Condition for Return to African Democratic Congress
Former ADC chieftain Salihu Lukman said he is ready to rejoin the party provided it leads to a united effort to present a credible candidate capable of earning Nigerians’ trust, regardless of party affiliation.
He explained that he had suspended his membership out of frustration, stressing that partisan politics alone cannot solve the nation’s challenges.
Lukman added that he would retain his ADC membership if it helps bring the party’s leaders together, emphasizing that Nigeria’s interests outweigh those of the party.
He also called on the opposition to step up their game if they hope to unseat the ruling party, expressing concern that they might repeat the mistakes of the 2023 elections despite the judicial process.
Lukman urged opposition leaders to set aside personal ambitions and prioritize the country’s destiny.
