Phyna Files ₦500 Million Lawsuit Against Carter Efe Over Sex Allegation
BBNaija Level‑Up champion Phyna has taken legal action against popular Nigerian streamer Carter Efe, demanding ₦500 million in damages over allegations that she was sexually involved with him.
The dispute began when Carter Efe claimed in a social‑media video that he had sexual relations with Phyna. In the clip, Phyna can be heard asking, “Me and you f*ck?” to which Carter replied, “Yes. I will bring the whole evidence come outside.” She responded, “Thank you very much. You and Davrel will hear from my lawyer.”
During an Instagram Live session on Thursday night, Phyna apologised to her fans and confirmed that she had formally served both Carter Efe and another individual named Davrel with court papers.
She explained that while she had tolerated criticism in the past, allegations concerning her personal and sexual life had crossed a line. Phyna said she would no longer react with emotional outbursts and would instead rely on legal channels to defend her reputation.
“I have stood different kinds of drags, but there are two types I cannot stand: the usual public criticism and anything that touches on my sexual integrity,” she said. “This experience has forced me to learn how to use the law because, at the end of the day, I do not seek trouble; my reactions often make it seem like I am the one at fault.”
Shortly after the live stream, Carter Efe posted a video confirming that he had indeed been served with a ₦500 million lawsuit.
Phyna’s move marks a shift from her usual online rebuttals to a formal legal approach, signalling her intent to protect her personal boundaries through the judicial system.
