Pastor’s View on Marital Money Management
A pastor has ignited online discussion after asserting that married women who earn money should allow their husbands to manage their finances.
In a widely circulated TikTok clip, the clergy member explained that marital strain often arises when wives keep their income separate from their spouses.
He emphasized that financial transparency is crucial in a marriage, and husbands should not be regarded as outsiders concerning money.
He declared, “Any woman who works and earns must grant her husband authority over her funds. He should know her ATM PIN and card details; she should hand over the money to him, rather than him requesting a loan.”
The pastor added that women seeking enduring unions ought to support their husbands financially and make their resources accessible within the household.
Furthermore, he advised that a wife should use her earnings to honor her spouse by purchasing gifts such as shoes, apparel, and watches, thereby strengthening his well‑being.
He said, “When you receive your salary, shop for your husband, buy him quality footwear, clothing and wristwatches. Using your income to honor him will encourage his continued support for your ambitions.”
Responses have been mixed; some applaud the call for monetary openness, while others reject the idea.
One commentator questioned, “Will the husband also surrender his ATM card and PIN to his wife?” Another remarked, “Spending all your cash to please your husband in today’s economy? Yabaleft pastor 😂.”
