A Nigerian woman ignited intense online discussion after revealing that a pastor confronted her, claiming she was married to another man while she was accompanied by her spouse.
She recounted the episode on X (the platform previously called Twitter), noting that it occurred when she was six months pregnant with her second baby.
She explained that she and her husband had visited a restaurant for a calm evening before encountering a clergy member outside the venue.
The pastor, identifiable by his clerical collar and Bible, approached her husband abruptly and urged him to distance himself from her.
In her post, she quoted the cleric saying, “A pastor told my husband to leave me because I’m another man’s wife.”
She added that the clergyman stared at her husband and declared, “Why are you with another man’s wife? Leave this woman alone.”
Perplexed by the remark, her husband reportedly requested clarification from the pastor.
The pastor then gestured toward her pregnancy, asserting it proved she was already another man’s wife.
According to her account, the pastor questioned, “Don’t you see that she and her husband are expecting their first child?”
Her husband reportedly laughed aloud upon hearing this, noting that the pregnancy was in fact their second child together.
She noted that the oddity deepened when they stepped outside and saw the pastor’s car parked close by, bearing his church’s name prominently.
