A Nigerian woman has criticized billionaire businessman E-Money for his choice of attire at the funeral of actor Alexx Ekubo, questioning whether such a display was truly necessary.

The Facebook user identified as TheAbroadNurse raised doubts about whether E-Money’s gesture at the funeral was needed, saying she wanted to comment but held back, quoting: “Was all this necessary at the funeral? That act of packing clothes by another person—was it really required? If I shared my view now…”.
Alexx Ekubo’s Death and Funeral Details
Alexx Ekubo passed away on May 11, 2026 at the age of 40 after a battle with advanced metastatic kidney cancer, a fact confirmed by his family through an official statement on his Instagram page. His burial and funeral rites were held in Arochukwu, Abia State in June 2026, attended by Nollywood colleagues such as Obi Cubana, Ini Edo, Nancy Isime and several other stars.
Alexx Ekubo’s Background
He hailed from Arochukwu in Abia State, attended Federal Government College Daura in Katsina State, and later studied Law at the University of Calabar.
In 2021, ISCG University in Cotonou, Benin awarded him an honorary degree in arts and culture.
