A Nigerian businesswoman posted an emotional clip after allegedly forgetting merchandise valued at more than ₦1 million inside a Lagos commercial bus, attributing the oversight to extreme fatigue.
The visibly upset entrepreneur explained that she had been working nonstop without adequate rest, ignoring repeated advice from family and clients to take it easy.
She worried that the loss could severely damage her business.
I Barely Get Any Rest
In the widely shared footage, she confessed that she had dismissed continual suggestions to pause and rest.
“Someone please ask God to have mercy on me. My family keeps urging me to rest, and even my customers tell me to relax. I pride myself on being hardworking and quick, but I barely sleep—neither by day nor by night.”
I Left the Bus Without My Goods
She said she had gone to Lagos to purchase skincare items straight from wholesalers, notably authentic sunscreens she planned to sell onward.
She noted that she bought twenty La Roche sunscreen tubes at ₦22,000 apiece, twenty Nivea sunscreen units, Skin Aqua goods, facial steamers, gummies and various other products.
She estimated the combined worth of the merchandise to exceed ₦1 million.
Fatigue Overtook Her on the Bus
She explained that fatigue overtook her on the bus ride, leading her to doze off.
“Sleep overcame me. I even placed my phone in my bag and sealed it shut, hoping not to lose it while I drifted off.”
She mentioned that the cartons holding the products remained inside the bus, yet she neglected to retrieve them when she disembarked.
“Can you believe I stepped off the bus and left all my purchases behind? This hurts me deeply.”
She stated that she only realized the items were missing after reaching home, changing out of her clothes, having a meal and lying down to relax.
“Upon opening my eyes, I asked, ‘Where is my parcel?’ That’s when I recalled I had not taken it with me.”
She added that she promptly headed back toward Mile 2 in an attempt to retrieve the lost goods.
“If I fail to find it, I could fall ill and might even have to shut down my business.”
