Nollywood star **Mary Njoku** voiced her fury and sorrow after learning that schoolchildren were seized in **Oyo State**, demanding to know what measures are being taken to free them.
She took to her Instagram story, saying she awoke feeling furious, uneasy, and deeply troubled by the fate of the abducted kids.

She expressed disbelief that innocent children could vanish without swift efforts to bring them back home.
She asked, “Are we really accepting that these kidnapped children are simply gone? Are we saying nothing more can be done? That toddlers and young children can disappear, and the rest of us are expected to act as if nothing occurred?”

The Iroko TV chief also wondered whether Nigerians have grown indifferent to the rising tide of kidnappings, banditry, and nationwide insecurity.
Mary Njoku lamented that reports of abductions and violent attacks have become so frequent that many people now react with resignation rather than urgency.
She added, “Have we become so desensitized to the endless stories of bandits, abductions, and insecurity in Nigeria that they hardly stir us any longer? Have we come to accept this as normal?”
Her remarks have struck a chord with many Nigerians online, with numerous social media users insisting that more must be done to save the Oyo schoolchildren and shield vulnerable citizens from criminal assaults.
Mary Njoku joins a growing list of public figures who have denounced the kidnapping of 46 children in Oyo State, a tragedy that has ignited nationwide anger.
