Kenneth Okonkwo Labels Peter Obi Classless and Non‑Charismatic
African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain Kenneth Okonkwo has described the 2027 presidential aspirant Peter Obi as a classless, non‑charismatic politician with limited legal knowledge and little depth of understanding.
Speaking about the defamation suit filed by Obi against him, Okonkwo said the former Anambra State Governor’s legal team ought to educate him better on what constitutes defamation.
Okonkwo insisted that he never defamed Obi, stressing that his remarks are already in the public domain and can be verified by anyone.
He further accused Obi of being a compulsive liar who seeks to destroy every rising star from the Southeast, echoing Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo’s claim that Obi “lies like a fish that drinks water.”
“Peter Obi is a classless, non‑charismatic politician with little knowledge and zero depth,” Okonkwo said. “Look at the lie he just told. A defamation suit is brought against someone for what they have already said, not for what they intend to say.”
He pointed out that Obi had commenced the legal action before Okonkwo made the statements in question, adding, “When you are dealing with a Peter Obi, it’s good to put everything you are saying in writing.”
Okonkwo referenced his own post on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, noting that the suit concerns past utterances, not future intentions, and therefore Obi’s claim is legally unfounded.
He questioned why Obi has not sued other critics such as Sowore, whom he called a “packaged fraud,” or Arabambi, who said Obi has no face, if he truly believes his legal position is strong.
“Just yesterday, the Minister of Aviation said he lies like the fish drinks water. Has he sued him?” Okonkwo asked. “I agree with the Minister because Obi has openly lied against me and displayed very little knowledge. His lawyers should educate him.”
