Kenneth Okonkwo Labels Peter Obi as Classless Politician
Kenneth Okonkwo, a senior member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and a Nollywood actor, has launched a scathing attack on Peter Obi, the 2027 presidential hopeful of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), describing him as classless, lacking charisma, and possessing little legal depth.
Speaking about the defamation suit filed by Obi against him, Okonkwo insisted that his comments were already in the public domain and therefore cannot constitute defamation. He argued that Obi’s legal team should better educate him on the fundamentals of defamation law, noting that such a suit addresses statements already made, not future intentions.
Peter Obi is a classless, non‑charismatic politician with little knowledge and zero depth. Look at the lie he just told. First of all, what he said is legally illogical; a defamation suit is a case you bring against somebody for what he has already said, which you allege injured your reputation.

Okonkwo further claimed that Obi is a compulsive liar intent on destroying every rising star from the Southeast, echoing Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo’s remark that Obi lies “like a fish that drinks water.” He noted that Obi has not taken legal action against other critics such as Sowore or Arabambi, suggesting a pattern of selective litigation.
He added that Obi initiated the pre‑action notice before making the statements in question, meaning the court would merely enforce demands already raised. “So just look at a man who wants to be President, lying both legally and factually,” Okonkwo said.
In his view, Obi’s lawyers should educate their client on the basics of defamation, reinforcing his belief that the former Anambra State governor seeks to suppress emerging talents from the Southeast.
