Actor Jide Awobona Raises Hygiene Concerns Over Kissing Scenes
Nollywood actor Jide Awobona has opened up about his apprehension when performing kissing scenes in films, noting that unsatisfactory oral hygiene among co‑actors leaves him uneasy.
He explained that while such scenes are sometimes required by a script, he becomes uncomfortable when partners neglect basic mouth care, which raises fears of possible infections.
Awobona recalled an incident after which he felt compelled to rinse his mouth immediately, saying he prayed not to “contact something” from the experience.
The veteran actor urged fellow performers to prioritize personal hygiene before intimate scenes, stressing that fresh breath and clean mouths are essential for a safe and professional set.
