A woman has captured widespread attention online after revealing that she unintentionally sabotaged her first date of the year by correctly guessing a stranger’s birthday during their chat.
She explained that, after weeks of loneliness following her sister’s passing, she decided to try dating again.
Living solo, she hoped to reconnect socially after a challenging period.
The Date Takes an Unexpected Turn
In the recorded clip, she described how the conversation flowed smoothly as they exchanged life stories and personal details.
Emphasizing that it was their inaugural meeting, she aimed to avoid seeming odd or out of place.
She recalled asking him about his birthdate before volunteering to guess it herself.
“Don’t worry, let me try,” she said, then named the month—April—and hit the exact day—16—on her first attempt.
The man was stunned and inquired how she knew the answer.
The Man Becomes Uncomfortable
The woman admitted she had no logical explanation for her accurate guess and labelled the moment awkward.
“He responded, ‘How?’ I replied, ‘Did I get it?’ He confirmed yes,” she recounted.
She noted that afterward he seemed disturbed, struggling to keep the dialogue going.
“This is our first one‑on‑one talk, and he could barely speak with me. He looked anxious, his thoughts drifting elsewhere,” she added.
