Harry Kane Praises Jude Bellingham After England’s Panama Victory
England captain Harry Kane described Jude Bellingham’s performance as “fantastic” following the team’s 2‑0 win over Panama, which secured top spot in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying group.
Bellingham contributed a goal and an assist, setting up Kane for England’s second goal. Kane highlighted the Real Madrid midfielder’s relentless energy, technical ability and tactical intelligence.
“Another top performance from Bellingham,” Kane said. “He looks fit and sharp, with the bit between his teeth, ready to prove to the world what kind of player he is.”
He praised Bellingham’s work rate, non‑stop running, tackling, tracking back and ability to make runs in behind from deep, noting that the midfielder is hard to track and physically strong.
Kane added that wherever Bellingham plays, he is effective, and that his cross for Kane’s goal exemplified his quality.
Looking Ahead to the Knockout Stage
Regarding the upcoming knockout rounds, Kane said England have no preferred opponent, insisting every remaining side will present a stern test.
“For us, we take what we’re given. Whoever it is we’ll prepare well and it will be a tough game, as we’ve seen in all our matches so far this tournament,” he stated.
He encouraged the squad to enjoy the achievement of seven points and top‑of‑the‑group finish, while staying focused on preparation for the next challenges.
