Flavour Nabania Recalls Being Kicked Off Stage for P‑Square Performance
Nigerian singer Chinedu Okoli, widely known as Flavour Nabania, recalled an early‑career incident where he was ordered to leave the stage so that the now‑defunct duo P‑Square could perform.
He said the manager of the venue told him to switch off his microphone and step aside immediately. Moments later, Paul of P‑Square took the mic and launched into the hit song “Temptation,” prompting the audience to scream and cheer wildly.
Flavour admitted he wondered whether they were not playing the same kind of music, given the stark contrast in the crowd’s response compared to his own performances at the same venue.
Instead of letting the humiliation discourage him, he used it as motivation to work harder and stay consistent. That drive eventually paved the way for his own successful career in the Nigerian music industry.
