Dollar to Naira Black Market Exchange Rate – July 28, 2026
The parallel market, often referred to as the Aboki fx, continues to dictate the informal dollar‑naira conversion in Nigeria. According to Bureau De Change operators in Lagos, on Monday 27 July 2026 the buying price for one US dollar stood at ₦1,403 while the selling price was ₦1,412.
These figures reflect the prevailing rate at which traders exchange foreign currency outside the official banking channel. The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) does not endorse the parallel market and advises individuals seeking foreign exchange to conduct transactions through authorised banks.
While the CBN’s official rate may differ, the black market remains a key indicator for many businesses and individuals who rely on immediate access to foreign currency. Market watchers suggest that the narrow spread between buying and selling prices indicates relative stability in the parallel market at this time.
