A Nigerian woman residing in Canada has openly sworn the same marital pledge after her husband previously promised never to be unfaithful or seek divorce following his move overseas.
Identified as Ezinne Maryjane Nwanorue, the woman posted a video where she conveyed several earnest commitments to her spouse, Franklin Chimaobim Nwanorue, asserting her intention to stay loyal for the duration of their union.
Their shared clips have since provoked extensive discussion across various social platforms.
Wife Makes Her Own Public Declaration
In the clip, Ezinne presented the statement as her personal admission to her husband prior to uttering a religious vow.
“This is my personal confession to my husband, Franklin Chimaobim Nwanorue. I, Ezinne Maryjane Nwanorue, declare in Jesus’ name that I will stay sexually faithful to him, and should I ever be unfaithful, may I die—in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
She additionally vowed to be a loving spouse and a dedicated mother to their children, asking God for grace to uphold their marriage.
“I also affirm that I will continue to be a good wife to my husband and a nurturing mother to our children, and I pray that God grants us the favor to cultivate a wholesome marriage and a righteous household.”
She further prayed that their marriage would positively influence others and act as an exemplar for families worldwide.
“May God employ our marriage as a positive example for other families and unions, in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
