APM Warns Daniel Bwala Will Regret Criticising Governor Seyi Makinde
The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has criticised Daniel Bwala, the Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, after he reportedly described Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde as inconsequential.
Speaking on behalf of the party, Yusuf noted that sending presidential aides to attack the governor reflects a lack of confidence in the administration’s own record. He added that the true measure of relevance will be revealed in the 2027 general election.
Yusuf expressed confidence that the APM’s 2027 presidential candidate, Governor Seyi Makinde, will defeat President Tinubu at the polls.
“Rather than defend its record in office, the Presidency has chosen to attack personalities. The decision to deploy presidential aides to criticise Governor Makinde only shows a lack of confidence in its own achievements.
“Daniel Bwala would soon eat his own words against Governor Makinde.
He continued, “President Tinubu should be jittery because Governor Makinde is entering the race with an impressive track record, having transformed Oyo State into one of the nation’s leading economies — a performance Nigerians wish to see replicated nationally.”
