A soon-to-be bride has sparked widespread attention online after playfully outlining the criteria her friends must satisfy to stay in her inner circle following her wedding.
In a clip filmed at her bridal shower and posted on X (formerly Twitter), the enthusiastic bride-to-be informed her companions that maintaining their friendship would require adherence to certain guidelines as she steps into married life.
She explained that anyone hoping to stay in her social circle must already be involved in a committed relationship and demonstrate clear advancement toward marriage.
“If you wish to remain my friend, I have a few conditions,” she remarked. “First, you need to be in a relationship. Second, that relationship should have lasted over two years. Third, you must have already met your partner’s parents. Fourth, an engagement should be imminent.”
She added that she hopes her nearest friends will reach similar life stages concurrently, so they can journey through marriage and parenthood side by side.
She also noted that her last stipulation is that her friends should be prepared to have children next year, ensuring their future offspring can play together.
“Lastly, you ought to be prepared to give birth next year so that when I welcome my children, they will have a playmate. Therefore, if you are currently single, there is little chance,” she continued.
Her comments spread rapidly across social platforms, drawing criticism from some who found them offensive, while others defended her right to choose her post‑marriage social circle.
The footage continues to spark discussion online, with numerous users voicing their opinions on friendship, romance, and the light‑hearted demands that often accompany wedding celebrations.
