APC Senatorial Candidate for Taraba North Denies Replacement Claims
Kabiru Bello Bandawaire, the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial candidate for Taraba North, has rejected reports that he has been replaced as the party’s flagbearer. Speaking in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital, he said the claims that his name had been swapped with incumbent Senator Shuibu Isa Lau are false and misleading.
Bandawaire emphasized that he remains the duly nominated candidate recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission and will not withdraw from the race. He stated that he has no intention of selling the mandate given to him by the people and that any replacement must follow due process and the Electoral Act.
He urged party members and supporters to ignore the rumors, affirming that his candidacy stands intact and that the party must respect the proper procedures for any candidate change.
