Jibrin Denies Northern Propaganda Claims Against Tinubu
All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain Abdulmumin Jibrin has rejected accusations that a coordinated propaganda campaign in Northern Nigeria is portraying President Bola Tinubu unfavorably.
Jibrin, who served as a member of the House of Representatives from Kano State, emphasized that Tinubu has consistently shown support for the North throughout his political career.
He stated, “Tinubu’s influence remains strong in the South and across the nation; his political base has not been destroyed.”
“There is indeed a heavy propaganda effort in the Northern part of the country, and no one can deny its existence,” Jibrin added. “Some politicians are spreading the narrative that the president dislikes the North, has been unfair in appointments, and has neglected Northern development projects.”
“When these claims are examined objectively, they prove to be false and fabricated merely to paint the president in a negative light,” he continued.
“President Tinubu has demonstrated genuine affection for the North and its people all his life,” Jibrin concluded.
