Alexx Ekubo’s Sister Chioma Shares Heartfelt Grief Over Brother’s Passing
The sister of late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo, Chioma, has taken to social media to express her profound grief following his sudden demise.
In her post, Chioma described the loss as leaving her “shattered and hurt,” recalling the many moments they shared and the future they had imagined together.
She wrote, “My ANGELBEING, it’s been a cold Earth since you left with your warmth. How do I navigate life without you in it, my brother? This was not the plan NNAM. I always looked forward to old age with you, your jokes, your advices and admonition. You hurt me brother by taking of the way you did without a proper good bye. I am shattered beyond words; hardly a second goes by without thinking of you. I hope you are watching and not silent.”
Veteran Actor Pete Edochie Remembers Alexx Ekubo’s Warmth
Veteran Nollywood icon Pete Edochie also mourned the loss, describing Alexx as a cheerful and energetic presence who left an indelible mark on the industry.
Speaking with PM News, Edochie recalled meeting Ekubo only three times, yet each encounter remained vivid due to the late actor’s lively nature.
He shared a memorable occasion when Alexx visited his hotel accompanied by a cow and a troupe of Ogene drummers to invite him to an event.
Edochie noted that Alexx had spoken about plans to celebrate his 80th birthday next year, plans that will now never come to fruition.
He also highlighted the steadfast loyalty of fellow actor IK Ogbonna, who stood by Alexx during his life and continued to honour his memory after his death.
