Carter Efe Responds to Babcock University Certificate Controversy
Popular skit maker Carter Efe has broken his silence on the ongoing debate about his alleged Babcock University academic certificate. During a recent livestream, he addressed the rumours that the university was questioning his educational background.
In a light‑hearted tone, Carter Efe warned that anyone from Babcock looking to see him would first need to pay a steep fee.
He said, “Babcock, I hear say Babcock una dey look for me. Una no go see me. Before una go see me, una go pay N100,000 for ticket, and we are coming to Babcock soon.”
The controversy began when Carter Efe shared a document online, claiming it was his degree certificate from Babcock University, stating he had studied Biochemistry and graduated with top honours. He posted it to silence critics who doubted his education.
Social media users quickly scrutinised the certificate, pointing out inconsistencies in the grading description. Babcock University later issued a statement, saying the classification mentioned on the document is not recognised by the institution and warned the public not to accept any fake certificates linked to the university.
Despite the backlash, Carter Efe affirmed that he plans to visit Babcock University soon, keeping the conversation alive as fans await further developments.
