
Well-known Nigerian comedian and online streamer Odahohwo Joseph Efe, widely recognized as Carter Efe, has responded to allegations from Babcock University that a certificate bearing his name and circulating on the internet is counterfeit.
It started when a document appeared on social media claiming that the entertainer had earned a first‑class Biochemistry degree from Babcock University.
The alleged credential spread rapidly across platforms, prompting widespread debate and skepticism about its legitimacy.
Babcock University replied with a statement denying any connection to the document, labeling it false, unauthorized, and fraudulent, and asserting that it never issued such a certificate.
Carter Efe Speaks Out
As the debate intensified, Carter Efe released a video addressing the matter, which has been shared widely online.
In the footage, the father of one, surrounded by his crew, laughed off rumors that the institution was searching for him regarding the disputed certificate.
He remarked in a jovial tone that locating him would be a tough task for the university.
He said in Pidgin, “I hear una dey look for me.”
Carter Efe Demands a Ticket Fee
He jokingly added that should he ever choose to visit the campus, Babcock would need to pay him ₦100,000 as a ticket fee before granting him access.
He continued, “Una go pay N100k for ticket to see me. I dey come,” while those nearby laughed and cheered.
