Childhood Ambition to Serve as a Catholic Priest
Nigerian businessman and socialite Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chief Priest, has opened up about a lesser‑known chapter of his life. In a recent Instagram throwback, he shared a childhood photo and reflected on the dream he once held of becoming a Catholic priest.
The entertainer explained that his late mother had always wished for him to walk the path of priesthood. He recalled her hope vividly and said it remained a clear memory throughout his youth.
Cubana Chief Priest also spoke about the strong Christian foundation that shaped his early years. He noted how his faith played an influential role while he was growing up, even though life eventually led him down a different road.
Although he pursued a career in business and entertainment, the socialite admitted that becoming a priest was once, becoming a Catholic priest was his genuine desire. He now hopes to nurture a deeper relationship with his Catholic faith despite his demanding public life.
In his post he wrote: “I once had a strong desire to serve as a Catholic priest when I was growing up. My mother always hoped I would take the path of priesthood, and I still remember that wish clearly.”
