Youngest FIFA World Cup Winners: 20 Players Who Triumphed Before Age 21
Spain winger Lamine Yamal has entered an exclusive club of footballers who lifted the FIFA World Cup before their 21st birthday. FIFA released the updated list of the 20 youngest World Cup winners on its official website, with Brazilian legend Pelé still holding the record after winning the trophy at just 17 years and 249 days.
Yamal, who helped Spain secure the world title, shares fourth place with former Brazil forward Philippe Coutinho, both achieving the feat at 19 years and six days old.
Brazil dominates the ranking with eight representatives. Former striker Ronaldo ranks second, having won the cup at 17 years and 298 days, while Italy defender Giuseppe Bergomi sits third at 18 years and 174 days.
Spain also appears through centre‑back Pau Cubarsí, who is seventh after triumphing at 19 years and 178 days. France’s Kylian Mbappé occupies eighth spot at 19 years and 207 days.
The top ten is completed by Brazil’s Mazzola in ninth and Uruguay’s Rubén Morán in tenth.
