
A woman has ignited online debate after revealing that she reclaimed the ₦10 million she had contributed to her partner’s relocation funds once he proposed an open relationship shortly before his departure to Canada.
She explained that they had been dating for four years and had jointly organized his move overseas.
For six months, she helped him with paperwork, offered emotional support through prayer, and assisted in gathering proof of funds by lending him ₦10 million from her business account and a loan facility.
Dinner Conversation Takes an Unexpected Turn
She noted that the dynamics shifted during a dinner outing on the night before his flight.
While discussing their future, her boyfriend expressed worries about sustaining a long‑distance relationship after moving abroad.
Prior to raising the issue, he complimented her, saying, “Babe, you are the best woman a man could ask for. But I want us to be completely honest so we don’t hurt each other.”
He then suggested an open relationship, allegedly adding that if he met someone who could help him obtain permanent residency through marriage, she should see it as a pragmatic choice.

Instead of confronting him right away, she calmly excused herself from the table.
She said that while away, she logged into his banking app using credentials she already knew and transferred the ₦10 million back to her own account, labeling the transaction “Strategic Survival Fund.”
