Wolves Reject Fiorentina Bid for Nigerian Striker Tolu Arokodare
Wolverhampton Wanderers have rejected a transfer offer from Serie A club Fiorentina for Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare, according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.
Romano added that Trabzonspor also submitted a proposal, but the 25‑year‑old forward is not keen on joining the Turkish side.
Wolves are holding out for a fee exceeding €20 million and will only consider selling if their valuation is met.
Interest in Arokodare has grown since Wolves’ relegation from the Premier League, with Fiorentina becoming the latest club to test the Championship side’s resolve.
The Super Eagles international arrived at Molineux last summer from Belgian side KRC Genk for £23.4 million, signing a four‑year deal that includes an optional extra year.
After an impressive goal‑scoring record in Belgium, his first season in England proved difficult, yielding just three goals and one assist in 33 league appearances, mostly from the bench, as Wolves dropped to the Championship.
