A Nigerian man has disclosed why a woman in his community kept her earnings hidden from her spouse for eight years. He explained that, according to a post on X (formerly Twitter) by user @AmeboWithMoh, her stance was based on the belief that a couple’s financial matters should remain private.

Later, the husband lost his employment and turned to his wife for assistance with household expenses. She declined his request. In response, he sold their home and disappeared, leaving her to support their three children alone. Subsequently, it emerged that the property title had always been in his name.
