Veteran Actor Harry B Anyanwu Appeals for Support to Restore Actress Maureen Okpoko’s Sight
Veteran Nollywood actor and musician Harry B Anyanwu has appealed to fellow actors, filmmakers and Nigerians to assist veteran actress Maureen Okpoko, who has been living without her sight for several years.
He revealed that he met with her in Enugu State and doctors have indicated that her vision could be restored if she receives the appropriate medical care.
Anyanwu stressed that a collective effort from colleagues and members of the public could make a significant difference in helping her access the treatment she needs.
He urged actors, actresses and well‑meaning Nigerians not to overlook her condition but to stand by her during this challenging period.
“I am right here in Enugu with my sister of inestimable value, Maureen Okpoko. Nollywood, let’s reach out to her and support her. She’s blind, but she can restore her sight,” he stated.
Maureen Okpoko is a celebrated veteran actress with appearances in numerous Nollywood films over the years.
