Spyro Warns Men: Spending Money on Women Is a Waste of Time
Nigerian singer Spyro has shared his view on why some of his fellow musicians end up broke after earning money.
He explained that many artistes blow their cash on parties, travel, and relationships—particularly with foreign women—rather than saving or investing.
Spyro said enjoying life and being generous is fine, but careless spending can ruin financial progress.
Addressing young men in the audience, he urged them to be mindful of how they handle money and to think long term instead of living only for the moment.
The “Who’s Your Guy” hitmaker added that after gaining fame and wealth, numerous people, including social media influencers, tried to get his attention and even offered to fund trips for him.
He turned down those offers so he could stay focused on his music career and make smarter financial decisions.
Quoting him directly: “If you are here and you are spending money on women I think you are wasting your time. I’m not saying you shouldn’t spend on your woman, but use your head.”
He continued, “I know some of my colleagues who made their first big paycheck and blew it on parties and trips to South Africa. I didn’t follow that path, and that’s why I am where I am today.”
