Seun Kuti Exits Peller and Jarvis Wedding Over Fela Comparison
Afrobeat artiste Seun Kuti reportedly walked out of the white wedding of content creators Habeeb Hamzat, known as Peller, and Elizabeth Aminata Amadu, popularly called Jarvis, held in Lagos.
The incident occurred after the master of ceremonies allegedly likened contemporary Afrobeats stars to the legendary Fela Anikulapo‑Kuti, Seun Kuti’s father.
According to reports from Leadership, Kuti was heard saying he was in the wrong place and expressed his displeasure with the comparison before leaving the venue.
The star‑studded ceremony, attended by numerous entertainers and digital creators, continued after his sudden departure.
Peller Shares Details of Pre‑Wedding Preparations
Ahead of the wedding, Peller revealed he had been attending private marriage counselling sessions to become a better husband to Jarvis.
He explained that the counselling was one reason for his reduced activity on social media in recent weeks.
Peller also disclosed that he purchased a $36,000 television van to broadcast the wedding live, saying he wants fans across Nigeria to watch the event on TV.
He stated, “I have been attending marriage counseling privately to learn how to treat Jarvis properly. That is why I have not been active on social media like before. I even bought a $36,000 TV Van for our wedding because I want the whole of Nigeria to watch it live on television.”
