Rudeboy Says It’s Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy’s Era Now
Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy of the former P‑Square duo, said he maintains a good relationship with Afrobeats stars Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy.
Speaking on Yanga FM, Rudeboy emphasized that every generation gets its moment at the top and that the current era belongs to the younger trio.
He noted that just as P‑Square once dominated the scene, it is now the turn of Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy to lead the industry, and after them another set of artistes will rise.
Rudeboy added that while no artiste can stay on top forever, a lasting legacy can be built through achievements and contributions to music.
“I have a good relationship with Wizkid, Davido and Burna. It’s their turn to be top, our turn don pass. Nobody is going to be there forever. People should respect that. After that, there’s still going to be another people. You can’t be there forever, but you can still put your legacy,” he said.
He also questioned why fans argue over Afrobeats, reminding them that his generation also made its mark.
