Phyna Files ₦500 Million Lawsuit Against Carter Efe
Phyna, winner of BBNaija Level‑Up edition, has instituted a ₦500 million lawsuit against streamer Carter Efe following allegations that she was sexually involved with him. The dispute intensified after a video surfaced showing Carter Efe admitting to having had sex with Phyna during a confrontation. In the clip, Phyna asks, “Me and you f*ck?” and Carter replies, “Yes. I will bring the whole evidence come outside.” Phyna then tells him to expect communication from her lawyer.
Later, during an Instagram Live session, Phyna apologized to her fans and announced that she had taken legal steps against both Carter Efe and another individual named Davrel, who had also made similar claims. She explained that while she has endured criticism before, accusations concerning her personal and sexual life crossed a line. Phyna said she would no longer respond with emotional outbursts and would instead rely on the legal system to protect her reputation.
In her live address, she said, “Hi people, I’m making this live to address something very important, one of which is to first apologise to my fans. I know a lot of people say I’ve lost my self‑respect. I have put myself down so much, and I think I finally realised that. Yes, you are saying the truth. And I’m using this medium to let everybody know that what has happened to me in the past couple of days has actually shaped me by force.” She added that she would no longer tolerate disrespect, especially of a sexual nature, and that the recent incident would be the last time she allows herself to be dragged online.
Shortly after the live, Carter Efe shared a video confirming that he had indeed been served with a ₦500 million suit.
