Phyna Files ₦500 Million Lawsuit Against Carter Efe Over Sex Allegation
Big Brother Naija level‑up edition winner Phyna has taken legal action against Nigerian streamer Carter Efe, demanding ₦500 million in damages for allegedly spreading false claims about a sexual relationship between them.
The controversy began when Carter Efe, in a social media video, admitted to having sex with Phyna during a confrontation. Phyna responded by questioning the claim and warning that she would involve her lawyers.
Later, during an Instagram Live session, Phyna apologised to her fans and explained that the recent events had forced her to reconsider how she handles public attacks. She stated that while she had tolerated criticism in the past, allegations concerning her personal and sexual life crossed a line.
Phyna emphasized that she would no longer react emotionally but would instead rely on legal channels to defend her reputation. She warned Carter Efe and another individual, Davrel, that they had been served with legal papers and should check their emails and WhatsApp for further communication.
Shortly after the live stream, Carter Efe shared a video confirming that he had indeed been sued for the ₦500 million amount. Phyna concluded her address by saying that the era of her responding with outbursts was over, and she would now protect herself through the law.
