Oyebanji Secures Victory in Fayose’s Hometown Polling Unit
Ekiti State Governor and All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Biodun Oyebanji has captured the polling unit belonging to former Governor Ayodele Fayose in Afao‑Ekiti. Official figures from INEC Form EC8A show that 538 voters were accredited out of 931 registered residents, resulting in 493 valid votes and seven rejected ballots.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate Dare Bejide polled 37 votes, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) nominee Wole Oluyede and the Action Democratic Party (ADP) each received four votes. The result, already signed by polling officials and party agents, underscores Oyebanji’s strength in Fayose’s hometown as collation proceeds across the state.
